Hi, I'm Grant. I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and just retired this year. I’m gay and have been for about as long as Paul has. Which means I also know who Howdy Doody was.

I decided a long time ago that I may have to grow older, but I don’t have to grow up. My partner, Mel and I go out to our favourite gay nightclub every Friday night and dance all night. Well till 2:30.

I enjoy all kinds of music. I like techno and house music. If I go to a gay nightclub every weekend, I should like the music. I absolutely love the Blues. Stevie Ray Vaughan was, is and always will be the ultimate blues guitarist.

I also enjoy movies. My favourite movies tend to be gay themed such as Rock Haven, Shelter, East Side Story, Edge of Seventeen, Milk, etc.

I can’t remember the last time I watched a TV program from beginning to end.

I love reading. Most of which involves online stories and novels from Codey’s World, The Mustard Jar, Penguin Huggle, Jeff’s Fort, and Awesome Dude. My favourite authors are too numerous to mention.

I never in my wildest dreams thought I would actually try writing. The only time I felt moved enough to try writing was a poem for Codey. However, after spending time at Codey’s World, I decided to try writing a short story—a very short story. It was fun so I tried another one. My first two stories were true stories so all I had to do was use my memory. Then I tried fiction. Just turning my imagination loose and seeing where it goes is great. I love it. I have actually written several short stories. a couple of flash fiction pieces, and a short novel that you can find at Codey’s World. I have several more short stories that will soon be ready for Azy to edit, something I owe him big time for.

And I would love to watch Grant and Mel dance. Shoot, how many people can even remember the Charleston?

I'm glad you liked my little twist in "Every Canadian Boys Dream" libb. They start kids playing hockey up here almost before they can walk so I thought hockey might be a good target.
